I oversee the production of charts and maps across our site. I also edit stories about sociology, demography, big data and math. This year, I'm working closely with the politics team to cover the presidential election and the 2020 census.
Previously, I was a reporter/editor at New Scientist, where I wrote a column about artificial intelligence.
My work has also been published in National Geographic, BBC and MIT Technology Review. I have been a guest on live radio and podcasts, as well as a speaker at media training workshops around the country.
I have a master's degree in science writing from MIT and a bachelor's degree in neuroscience from Union College.
I live in Seattle with my wife and one enormous cat.
